We’re absolutely chuffed to announce that our latest launch, Barrel Drop, has won Silver at the International Wine and Spirits Competition 2025!
After celebrating our second birthday, this is the perfect cherry on top. Barrel Drop now joins our award-winning lineup, alongside Spice Drop and Clear Drop, which earned Gold and Silver at the IWSC last year.
This was Barrel Drop’s debut at the IWSC, judged by an expert panel including rum and cocktail specialist Ian Burrell, the man behind RumFest and a familiar face on Channel 4’s Sunday Brunch.
Here’s what the judges had to say:
“Earthy and herbal with layers of ripe pear on the nose. The palate is balanced and full-bodied, showcasing sweet, fruity, and candied nuances alongside grassy undertones. It concludes with a long, peppery sweetness.“
Fermented with our exclusive wild trinity yeast, distilled in copper at our custom-built Sherwood Forest distillery, and aged up to 12 months in our world-first hybrid barrels of American and Portuguese oak, Barrel Drop is truly one of a kind. We’re over the moon to see it recognised in the rum category!
This IWSC win joins a growing list of awards for Barrel Drop, sitting proudly alongside Gold at the Spirits Business Awards and Silver at the World Rum Awards earlier this year. Not bad for the new kid on the block!
