DropWorks has been named Experience of the Year!
We are thrilled to announce that DropWorks Rum Distillery has been recognised at the Visit Nottinghamshire Tourism Awards, taking home GOLD for Experience of the Year and BRONZE for New Tourism Business of the Year!
As the UK’s largest rum distillery, we’ve always believed in doing things differently—crafting exceptional rum from scratch and creating an unforgettable experience for every single visitor. This award celebrates our distillery tour and experiences, where everyone is welcome to explore our home and experience the craft behind every Drop.
The Nottinghamshire Tourism Awards consisted of 14 categories, which covered a huge selection of people and businesses that the region has to offer; from hotels and campsites to pubs, experiences and team members. It was incredible to come together to be able to celebrate all of the hard work within the area.
Victoria Reeves, Chief Executive of the National Justice Museum, described her experience “Dropworks provides a great opportunity to find out about everything that goes into making a local rum in the biggest rum distillery in Europe, right on our doorstep. As well as making 9 different rums on site they run regular distillery tours so visitors can find out more and get up close and personal with the making process and the taste of the rum. Led by their amazing Tours and Experience Manager Darren, those taking the tour get a relaxed and informative experience with plenty of rum thrown in!“
