Distiller’s Drop is a series of limited-edition, truly small batch barrel-matured rums chosen by our Founder and Master Distiller, Lewis Hayes. Each one is a unique example from the DropWorks Rum barrel store. The English Chestnut Cask delivers a refined yet playful expression of cask maturation, showcasing British innovation in rum.

The sweet English Chestnut wood brings an entirely new flavour profile to rum, something that most won’t have experienced before. Traditionally, rum is aged in oak casks, which add familiar notes of vanilla, coconut, and white chocolate thanks to natural lactones in the wood. The English Chestnut wood creates a nutty, rounded flavour profile, with notes of milk chocolate praline, roasted chestnuts, and warm Autumnal tones.
