Your very own cask
DropWorks Rum was launched in 2023 to disrupt the global rum market through the introduction of a quality British-distilled rum brand that challenges many of the traditional rum orthodoxies.
Crafted in our own state-of-the-art distillery, the largest rum distillery in Europe, we are located in the beautiful surroundings of Nottinghamshire’s Sherwood Forest.
The brand launched in the UK to positive acclaim and is now present in more than 500 premium venues across key cities.
In our first year we won multiple gold awards across our entire range at some of the most prestigious global competitions, including the International Wine & Spirits Competition and Spirits Business Rum Masters. We are extremely proud that Barrel Drop, our first cask-aged liquid won gold in the ‘aged up to 7 years’ category (not bad for a liquid aged for just one year – it will only get better).
Now it’s your turn to create your very own award-winning single-cask rum; a unique liquid, made by you.
How it works
1.) Drop us a line – email casks@dropworks.co.uk so we can talk you through the different liquid and cask options available, as well as provide you with our terms of sale.
2.) After payment has been received, your very own cask is created. You are invited to join us in person for this momentous occasion, or we can send you a video of the event for you to enjoy wherever and whenever you wish.
3.) Let your rum rest. Sit back, relax and think about all of those wonderful ways you will enjoy your very own Drop in the future. Your cask will be aged for as long you wish; we offer up to 5 years storage free of charge, however, you monitor progress, and you decide when it’s ready.
4.) You’ll also receive an annual taster of your Drop through the post, or even better, enjoy it in the barrel store at the DropWorks Distillery; come and join us on a private cask-owners tour, and soak up the full experience of how your rum has been produced.
5.)Give it time and your rum will have matured into a beautifully aged spirit, ready for you to savour. Choose what to do with it; bottle it for your own enjoyment or gift it to family, friends and colleagues – whatever you decide, know that you have created one of a very small batch of British-distilled aged rums; every single-cask rum is unique and this Drop’s yours.
