How to find us

We are so excited to welcome you to the DropWorks Distillery!

The DropWorks Distillery is located on the Welbeck Estate in Nottinghamshire. Full address is: DropWorks Distillery, Welbeck, Worksop, Nottinghamshire, S80 3LX.

We find that downloading the What3words app and using the reference Streak.when.champions has been hugely successful where phone signal is limiting as you venture on to site – so if you can download in advance it is highly recommended!

We have a map that you can use to help locate us on arrival at Welbeck, look out for signs for ‘DropWorks Distillery’. We’re just opposite the School of Artisan Food.

It has been recommended by the Welbeck team that bringing guests in and out of Lady Margaret Drive, as shown by the blue dot on the map here, is the most direct route for our visitors (instead of the main entrance) this should limit the potential for getting lost when navigating the area. 

There is a security gate near the junction with the A60 which is monitored 24/7 an intercom to the security office in case of an emergency or issue.

Welbeck is a private and busy rural estate, including residential properties so please take care and be respectful when within the grounds and do not wander off/ take any photographs outside of the Distillery without permission. If you do require any specific photographs from outside of the Distillery, please let us know and we can put you in touch with the Marketing team at Welbeck directly.

Travelling by road?

You can reach the Distillery when travelling via road and find Welbeck located between the M1 and the A1, off the A60, 3 miles to the South of Worksop. 

Travelling by train?

DropWorks Distillery has good connections to a variety of train stations. If you do not have access to a car then we do recommend pre-booking taxis such as Tommy’s Taxi service.

• Worksop – this is the local railway station, it is around a 15 min taxi journey from the DropWorks Distillery.
• Retford – is approximately 20 minutes away by taxi. Trains from London Kings Cross go direct to Retford and take around 1hr 20 minutes.
• Chesterfield – en route from London St Pancras to Sheffield, Chesterfield is around 30 minutes away by taxi.
• Whitwell – a 5 min taxi journey is on the Robin Hood Railway Line which connects to Nottingham. This is a local train route so journey times do vary and may take longer than using the main train stations (Retford and Chesterfield).

Travelling by air?

You Jetsetter! Good news for you is that we have some great airports less than an hour away. East Midlands Airport is approximately 56 minutes drive and Robin Hood Airport is approximately 45 minutes drive.
