Managed to get both special casks and As much as im dying to open them im going to hold on to these for a while. Yes I know im missing out but if need be ill have to buy another... read more bottle 😄 but shout out to darren who reached out when I had trouble purchasing a bottle from another retailer and went out of his way to try and organise one for me. Luckily my bottle arrived but just the kindness and willingness was second to none. Seems the distilery not only is producing fantastic spirits but producing a great team aswel. Thanks again darren a true gent 👍

We were expertly hosted by Darren today and have nothing but glowing feedback. He explained everything in an understandable way and no question was too much trouble. We tasted plenty of amazing rums; there is genuinely something for everyone even... read more you if you don't think you're a rum fan. We took full advantage of the farm shop discount that followed and we can't recommend this enough.

If you’ve ever wondered what happens when you mix expert rum knowledge, generous samples, and a tour guide with impeccable comedy timing, the answer is: you get DropWorks. We were hosted by Darren, who is essentially the David Attenborough of rum,... read more calm, knowledgeable, endlessly engaging, and capable of explaining complex processes in a way that makes you feel both clever and slightly nizzled. He walked us through the entire rum‑making journey, from raw ingredients to the final glorious pour. We even tasted raw molasses, which was a surprise to the senses and possibly the closest I’ll ever get to licking a treacle mine.Darren answered every question thrown at him - of which there were many, because after five very generous rum samples (plus take‑home tasters for the drivers), I developed what can only be described as “Question Tourette’s.” No thought too small, no curiosity too odd. If it popped into my head, it came out of my mouth. Including answering a question like a keen student, shouting out Copper Sulphate (I had been listening Darren) without even having the courtesy to raise my hand.We ended up buying our two favourite bottles, partly because they were delicious and partly because we felt emotionally bonded to them by that stage.A special shoutout to Richard and his son Alex, who were also on the tour and instantly became part of the experience. You know when you meet people and think, “Ah yes, these are my people now”? That.If you’re even vaguely rum-curious, or just enjoy learning something new while being gently roasted by a charming host - book a tour. It’s fun, fascinating, and full of flavour in every sense. And if you live near Worksop it’s basically rude not to!
